Snow Conditions
Packed Powder
We are enjoying fantastic conditions with 8cm of fresh snow. The groomed trails and learners area are in perfect condition with dry winter snow groomed out to a smooth surface. Off piste the coverage is great with wind blown pockets of powder everywhere offering fresh lines on the mountain.
Weather Conditions
-6.5°
We have had 8cm of fresh snow overnight with deeper pockets of wind blown powder around the mountain. The skies have cleared and the sun is now shining! There are some strong wind gusts, so please be sure to dress warm and enjoy the fresh snow!
Road Conditions
Chains on 2WD
The roads are now chain-free until car park 4. Please maintain two way access at all times, and if travelling slower, please pull over where possible to let other traffic through.

BACK COUNTRY ADVISORY

If you decide to go skiing or snowboarding in the back country, you need to carry the right safety equipment. Avalanches happen for a reason, so it’s important to choose your terrain wisely.

It is good practice to alert our Ski Patrol with details of your anticipated back country trip. You can pop into our Ski Patrol office at any time. Please be aware that our Ski Patrol do not patrol these areas and only venture here in the case of a known emergency.

For up to date avalanche information please refer to the NZ Avalanche Centre's latest update.

Please visit the Mountain Safety website for details on requirements to ensure your safe back country adventure.
