Little rippers

Designed for 4 to 6 yrs, the Little Rippers program is all about safety, fun and learning at Coronet Peak.

It’s a great way for young children to develop a love of skiing. Kids have the same coach for every weekend and fun is guaranteed. Each Little Rippers skier will be assigned to a group based on their ability (maximum group size of four) and these groups will stay together during the program.
Age: Skiers must be 4-6 years old. 
Includes: Lessons and lunch.
You will need: A valid lift pass and ski hire if required.
Minimum Ability Level: Level 2.

For your children aged 7 to 16 yrs, the Peak Squad ski program at Coronet Peak focuses on developing strong skiers who can rip all over the mountain.

Racecourses, terrain parks, on and off­-piste as well as chutes and steeps will all be used to challenge the skiers within a safe and fun environment. Each Peak Squad skier will be assigned to a group based on their ability. Young skiers will learn and develop solid basic techniques for both racing and free skiing.
Age: Skiers must be 7 - 16 years old.

Minimum Ability Level: Suitable for Level 5 and 6.

The Mountain Holiday program is for all ability levels and runs throughout the NZ school holidays over five days at Coronet Peak.

THE MOUNTAIN HOLIDAY PROGRAM IS A FIVE DAY SKI AND SNOWBOARD PROGRAM THAT RUNS FROM 10AM TO 4PM DURING THE NZ SCHOOL HOLIDAYS.

The Mountain Holiday multi-day program is for all ability levels with an emphasis on FUN and learning, and requires a certain level of stamina. Kids are grouped based on their ability and teamed up with top children's instructors from around the world.This is an all‐day, multi-day ski and snowboard program and runs 10am to 4pm. 
Age: Skiers must be at least five years old and snowboarders must be at least seven years old.
Includes: Lessons and lunch for five consecutive days.
You will need:a valid lift pass and ski hire if required.
Minimum ability level: Open to all ability levels.

INTRO TO QAST HOLIDAY PROGRAM

The Intro to Qast program is suitable for skiers aged 7 years and over. The program runs over 12 days of the New Zealand School Holidays. 

The program is suitable for:

  • Skiers already racing at local/national schools level
  • Skiers wanting an introduction to ski racing and moving into the QAST full time program after the school holiday's. 

Kids get the opportunity to train on the world class ski racing terrain at Coronet Peak throughout the July school holidays. Each skier will be assigned to a group for the length of the program. QAST uniforms are also included for all participants. Program runs from 9am to 2pm daily. 
Age: 7+ years.
Includes: Coaching and lunch. Participation in Coronet Peak Interfield race on the final day of the program.
You will need: a valid lift pass and ski hire if required 
Minimum Ability Level: Level 4, who can use the Rocky Gully T-bar by themselves.

Women's Ski Sessions enable you to reach your full potential in an atmosphere that is fun, uplifting and motivating.

Run by women and especially designed for girl skiers over the age of 16. In this one or two­ day program at Coronet Peak you will learn the fundamentals of women's techniques, tactics and ski equipment. You’ll conquer a lot of challenges, up­skill to the next level and have a great time with other women. You will need to purchase a valid lift pass to participate in this program.

Includes: Coaching, breakfast on the first morning + coffee, video analysis

Minimum Ability Level: Intermediate. Suitable for Level 3 and above.

volkl ski queens & burton snowbroads

The Volkl Ski Queens and Burton Snowboards Camps for women only are fun, supportive, full day's of freestyle coaching for intermediate and above level snowboarders and skiers. Only available at The Remarkables, the one-day camp for skiers and female riders.

Burton snowbroads

The Burton Snowbroads camps are a fun, supportive, full day of freestyle coaching for female snowboarders.

The camp suits all freestyle abilities from the first-time park riders to those looking to improve their tricks on the big features. No experience is required in the terrain park!

The aim of these camps is to make women feel comfortable and confident in the terrain park, big mountain and on trail while at the same time, being able to push the limits of their progression and make friends with other women of similar ability who ride.

Camp includes:

  • Return bus transport from the NZSki Queenstown Snow Centre
  • Light breakfast
  • Approximately five hours of group freestyle coaching
  • BBQ lunch
  • Four camps held on Saturday's so you can chose to participate in one, two or all four camp's

Lift Pass: For those that don't hold a 2018 Remarks season pass, you will need to have or purchase a valid day lift pass to participate in the camp which is not included in the camp price.

General Riding Ability: Level 3+ comfortable riding on blue (intermediate) runs. No terrain park/freestyle experience necessary.

Feel comfortable and confident on ski's in the terrain park.

Volkl Ski Queens is a one-day camp held at The Remarkables. The camp provides a friendly and supportive environment for women to progress their freestyle skills and have fun! The aim is to make women feel comfortable and confident in the terrain park, big mountain and on trail while at the same time, being able to push the limits of their progression and make friends with other women of similar ability who ski.No freestyle experience required in the terrain park! Queenstown’s high performance program – Remarkables Snowsports Academy

What is the Remarkables Snow Sports Academy? 
The Remarkables Snowsports Academy (RSSA) exists to foster freestyle skiing and snowboarding in the Queenstown area, it is a joint initiative between The Remarkables Ski Area and the Remarkables Snowsports Academy club committee. The Remarkables Snowsports Academy mission: Provide a supportive, fun and progressive development environment for freestyle snow sports athletes. We focus on developing children aged 6 to 18 years, recognising the potential of each individual and the strength of an inclusive culture that supports athletes on and beyond the mountain.

Vision “Remarkables Snow Sports Academy members dominating national competitions in their chosen disciplines”

How does it work?
The Remarkables Snowsports Academy has two parts. 
1. The fully incorporated club will oversee the social and team aspect being part of academy. 
2. The Remarkables Ski Area is the preferred training provider and will manage the on snow programs. 
All participants must be current financial members of the Club in order to access the on snow programs.
