    • All runners and bikers start together at 11:30 am at the base of The Remarkables access road.
    • The run is up The Remarkables access road.
    • Runners can choose to do either the full road - 13km - or just the last 5km, bikers can only enter for the full 13km.
    • Start line for the 13 km is the bottom car park. The 5.5 km start is at km 8.
    • Finish line for all three stretches is the base building entrance.

    Road statistics (approx.):
    Elevation at the bottom: 335 m Total vertical height: 1284 m Lowest vertical meters/km: 19 m (km 11 to km 12) Elevation at the top: 1619 m Average vertical meters/km: 98.77 m Highest vertical meters/km: 130 m (km 12 to km 13)

    Entry fee and fundraising
The run is free to enter with a minimum $20 donation to the Cancer Society. In this case the participants have to fill out a sponsor form, click here to print one. Money has to be collected and handed over to registration on race day, or to Administration at The Remarkables or at the Snow Center before Friday, 26th August 2014.

    Health and Safety
All participants MUST wear high visibility clothing. We reserve the right to deny entry if participants do not meet our health and safety requirements. Upon entering into the run every participant acknowledges that they are physically fit and suffer no medical conditions or disabilities that may render them unsuitable for this event. We recommend using your own hydration pack for participants who run the 13 km. There will be support vehicles with hydration supply spread throughout the stretch. Runners and bikers should be aware that the road is mainly sealed for approximately the first 9km and gravel for the last 4 km. Depending on the weather conditions it could be covered with snow. Temperatures could drop quickly; all runners should dress according to the conditions. Support vehicles can carry additional clothes. The road will not be closed for the public. All up-going traffic will be informed about the run. At front and back of the runners pack there will be safety vehicles with flashing lights. All participants have to wear high visibility vests. For their own safety runners and bikers should keep strictly to the left side of the road and not cutting corners.

    Transport
Shuttles will be provided to bring runners to the 8 km start points. There will be shuttles from each start point to transport the runners’ belongings. After the race free returning transport to the bottom car park is provided. Bikers who wish to ride down the road may do so between 1.30pm and 2.30pm.
