Snow Conditions
Machine Groomed
Strong overnight winds have stripped the cord off our initial attempts at grooming. Now that the wind has died down again we were able to head out and re-groom the main trails. Snowmaking is likely to start up in some areas today.
Weather Conditions
-4.5°
At 9am the weather is clear with near calm conditions in the base area and a moderate SW winds at the Summit. We are high above low cloud on the plains. Promising day ahead with sunshine forecast all day and winds around 20-40km/h in the base area and 40-70km/h at the summit. Sub zero temperatures up here today so don't forget your beanie and gloves.
Road Conditions
Open
Chains will only need to be carried today. Please take care on ice in the car parks and around the base lodge. Drive to the conditions, keep left and stay at or below our 40km/h speed limit. If you are just cruising today, please pull over to let faster vehicles past.

BACKCOUNTRY REPORT

LATEST UPDATE

Please refer to the Canterbury back country report at http://www.avalanche.net.nz/

Any terrain closures will be indicated on the day on signage around the ski area. Please be respectful of all closures as these are in place for your safety. If you are not sure please ask one of our Ski Patrollers who are stationed around the unload areas of our lifts.

Our lifts access certain terrain that suits different ability levels - to be sure you have the right lift pass to access the type of lift and terrain for your skiing/riding ability, please ask our Guest Services staff if you need assistance.

When riding a lift always ensure the safety bar is lowered on your chair. If you are unsure about the lift, just ask the nearest Lift Operator to slow it down for you. All lifts operate between 9am-4pm daily, weather & snow conditions permitting.
