Snow Conditions
Machine Groomed
Our wonderful team of groomer operators have knocked the mountain back into shape after yesterday's wind storm and the snow surface on the main trails will start out smooth and soft. We have not ventured out onto the Virgin Mile overnight due to the wind. Limited off trail options available today with variable snow and many rock hazards.
Weather Conditions
2.3°
At 2:00pm have clear skies, wind gusts of 80km/h winds at the summit which may affect lift operations. Forecast for today shows high cloud developing during the morning and winds increasing to 70-90km/h at the summit by lunchtime. It will feel cold when riding the lifts so please dress warmly. There may be some short delays this morning as we complete storm checks on our lifts.
Road Conditions
Open
Chains only need to be carried today. Please report any incidences of dangerous driving or excessive speed to our car parkers so we may follow up with the driver.

BACKCOUNTRY REPORT

LATEST UPDATE

Please refer to the Canterbury back country report at http://www.avalanche.net.nz/

Any terrain closures will be indicated on the day on signage around the ski area. Please be respectful of all closures as these are in place for your safety. If you are not sure please ask one of our Ski Patrollers who are stationed around the unload areas of our lifts.

Our lifts access certain terrain that suits different ability levels - to be sure you have the right lift pass to access the type of lift and terrain for your skiing/riding ability, please ask our Guest Services staff if you need assistance.

When riding a lift always ensure the safety bar is lowered on your chair. If you are unsure about the lift, just ask the nearest Lift Operator to slow it down for you. All lifts operate between 9am-4pm daily, weather & snow conditions permitting.
