Snow Conditions
Spring
We arrive today to spring conditions on the mountain. The more advanced trails groomed earlier in the night will have set firm and will require sharp edges and good skills to begin with. All intermediate/beginner trails have been re-groomed this morning and will quickly turn soft and sugary once initial skier traffic has passed over. Off trail is very firm and not recommended until new snow arrives. Lift operations may be subject to visibility today.
Weather Conditions
-0.6°
At 8:20am, we are sandwiched between layers of high and low cloud and have limited visibility. Calm conditions in the base are and 10-15km winds at the summit. Forecast: Cloudy, light winds and the chance of occasional snow showers. In limited visibility you'll need to follow vis-markers down the trails.
Road Conditions
Open
Chains must be carried today given the chance of snow showers today. There is low cloud on the road this morning so please flick your headlights on so that you may be seen by oncoming traffic. Drive to the conditions and maintain 2-way access at all times.

BACKCOUNTRY LATEST UPDATE

Please refer to the Canterbury back country report at http://www.avalanche.net.nz/

Any terrain closures will be indicated on the day on signage around the ski area. Please be respectful of all closures as these are in place for your safety. If you are not sure please ask one of our Ski Patrollers who are stationed around the unload areas of our lifts.

Our lifts access certain terrain that suits different ability levels - to be sure you have the right lift pass to access the type of lift and terrain for your skiing/riding ability, please ask our Guest Services staff if you need assistance.

When riding a lift always ensure the safety bar is lowered on your chair. If you are unsure about the lift, just ask the nearest Lift Operator to slow it down for you. All lifts operate between 9am-4pm daily, weather & snow conditions permitting.
