Adaptive Snowsports Programme awarded community grant

30 September, 2008: The Remarkables Adaptive Snowsports programme has received funding to help train volunteers. A $1,600 grant from the SKYCITY Queenstown Casino Community Trust has been welcomed by the programme which was developed by The Remarkables Ski Area and Disabled Snowsports New Zealand (DSNZ) in 2005. Nick Hyne tops table again in Slopestyle

7 September 2008: Round #3 of the Cadbury Moro Slopestyle again took place in stunning weather and superb snow conditions at The Remarkables yesterday (Saturday 6 September). And once again Parklife team member Nick Hyne of Queenstown claimed top spot and the $500 prize for first open male in the snowboard section. He was followed by Takahiro Ishida who picked up $300 for his efforts while Mark Anderson in third place was awarded $250. Read more...

Adaptive Snowsports Programme scholarships to get kids on the snow

29 July 2008: Children with disabilities who would love to ski or snowboard are being offered the opportunity to do so as part of The Remarkables Adaptive Snowsports scholarship initiative. Three scholarships are available and are aimed at, but not limited to, students in the Wakatipu region. Each scholarship covers the cost of three days on the slopes including three adaptive lessons, trained volunteer support, rental and lift passes. Read more...
