Mt Hutt Ski Area - The Kiwi Alpine Experience

Welcome! I am looking forward to working with you throughout the season. I will be doing my best to help you achieve your best from day one until the very end of the season.

At NZSki we strive to improve what we offer through innovation and solid teamwork. As part of the team your thoughts and opinions matter, Please do not hesitate in coming forward with ideas to help us Lead the World in Snow Sport Experiences.

All of our company goals now have us firmly focused on Leading the World in customer service, health and safety, fun, developing our staff, leadership, sustainability and connceting with our community. We want everyone to feel a part of each and everyone of our goals.

We encourage you all to be a leader no matter what you are doing on the mountain. We expect a high level of service from you and encourage you to offer constructive feedback about your role and the mountain. My firm belief is that “every interaction makes a difference, and that difference should be positive”

Mt Hutt was pioneered by a group of locals in Methven who saw an amazing opportunity on their doorstep. We are still connected in many ways to these pioneers as we continue to establish Mt Hutt as a High Country Ski Resort.

We are the only ski area in New Zealand to hold a World Cup, and we have established ourselves as the leader in the Southern Hemisphere for speed training. During your time here you will have the opportunity to see some of the best ski racers in the world training at Mt Hutt.

I encourage you to make the most of your time here. We will be encouraging you to reach high during the season not only in your professional life but also in your personal space. We want to be able to add value in your life’s journey and hope that you leave feeling like you have had the opportunity of a life time.

Coronet Peak has been exciting skiers, and more recently boarders since 1947. Coronet Peak has built a reputation as Queenstown’s and New Zealand’s premier mountain resort.

It has come along way in that time. From rope tows to Poma’s, to fixed grip chairlifts, to high speed detachable chairlifts. From tracks and tractors, to high tech grooming and state of the art snowmaking, from the Pie Palace to palatial base facilities. Coronet Peak’s identity is one of style and sophistication. We now boast world class base lodge facilities and one of the worlds most advanced automated snowmaking systems covering the entire mountain.

Coronet Peak is well positioned as the premier and iconic NZ mountain resort. It is social, sophisticated, cosmopolitan, and multi generational. The fun, natural terrain of Coronet Peak is attractive to skiers and riders of all abilities, as well as being very popular with families.

Our customers come not only from all over New Zealand, but all over the world. This will be more noticeable this year with the Rugby World Cup in September and October. As part of the Coronet Peak team you have a big part to play in making everyone feel right at home. We encourage you to engage positively with our guests and get to know them. Our aim is to create a vibrant atmosphere, exceptional service and a world class experience they will remember for a lifetime.

We are excited this year to continue our develop and expansion of our state of the art and world leading RFID ticketing technology, and along with some new and existing trail development we strive to be ever better than before..

We again have an exciting range of entertainment and events planned for 2011 including the return of the 100% Pure New Zealand Winter Games and we encourage you all to get involved as fun is what we are all about. At Coronet Peak we make it easy for our customers from arrival to après ski, we make it fun, keep it simple and deliver a world leading experience!

The Remarkables - Big Mountain Big Attitude

I’d like to welcome you to The Remarkables Ski Area, to an atmosphere of fun, into an environment that holds both challenge and reward for you over the coming months while employed here for the 2011 winter season.

The Remarkables is renowned for its true alpine feel with consistent snow cover, rugged ridge line scenery and excellent variety of terrain to meet and exceed the expectations of all abilities. We have an awesome playground that expands across three distinct bowls completing a network of groomed trails and off piste skiing and riding.

This last summer period has seen an intense period of development that will enhance the riding experience for all our guests with trail development accessed off Alta, Sugar Bowl and Shadow Basin Chair lifts. I am excited with the prospect of improvement we have made to these areas to provide better variety of trail access for the upper novice and low level intermediate abilities. We will see better utilization of the trail network available for all users which supports our focus on providing a product guests want to ski and ride on.

The Rentals department will have a full quota of Head BYS skis available which will vastly improve our flow of guests and provide state of the art equipment.

If we are to be successful your contribution is our greatest asset and has the biggest impact on our guest’s impression of who we are, how we operate and how we value our guests. At every opportunity your positive engagement will reflect our company culture, vision and mission statements which will support The Remarkables focus on growing the business.
