The Mayhem includes the Famous Dash for Cash, The insane Suitcase race and finished off in the afternoon by the Musical Chairs, Beach Flag Race and the Snow Dig. Cure Kids Ticket to Hope

Free chairlift rides, toboggan and snowmobile rides are just some of the activities that will be enjoyed by approximately 20 kids as part of the Cure Kids 'Ticket to Hope Day Out'.

Tens of thousands of locals and visitors will take to Queenstown streets and ski slopes for the Southern Hemisphere's biggest winter party, to celebrate the official start to winter.

This Tuesday race series has categories for ski/board/tele, male/female and mixed teams. Great sponsors, terrific atmosphere and a prize giving after every race at Searle Lane and Social Bar make this a weekly highlight. Join as a team or come along to Sign Up day (which is now 19th July) and we will find you someone to race with for the season. It is an iconic recreational race Series that is has all levels competing so make sure you are there 19th July. Once you get in that start gate - You will want more and More Ski Racing!!!

Junior Interfields
July 23rd, September 4 (NEW DATE)
Athletes aged 5 to 16 years and from as far afield as Japan, Sydney and Auckland compete in five categories for trophies, medals and the acclaim that goes with a top five 'podium' finish. It's not just for the 'hard core' ski racers though as all levels and abilities are encouraged to compete and challenge themselves on an authentic Giant Slalom Race Course.
Kids Day Out
July 24th
Kids rule The Peak today with free facing painting, a Treasure Hunt, entertainment on the deck and loads of giveaways from our friends at Streets, Keri Juices and Meadow Fresh. The fun starts at 12pm so parents bring the kids up for some fun in the snow.
Remember kids 6 years and under ride the lifts for free at Coronet Peak.
NZ Skiing Masters
August 12th and 13th
Masters Skiing is a great opportunity for anyone to participate in ski racing. Come and participate in the only Downhill in New Zealand along with a Giant Slalom and a Slalom Great way to meet new people, compete and have a great time in the mountains. There is the chance to get some prior training in the gates to get comfortable through our 5 Star Trainers and Coaches here at Coronet Peak Competitors range from the elite ex-racers to those that just 'want to give it a go'.

Peak to Peak
August 6
A Magnificent Winter Multisport Event for Individuals and teams. The race starts high on the Remarkables ski field with a 2km ski or snow board down to the Remarkables access road. An exhilarating 17km mountain bike down the road takes competitors to the edge of Lake Wakatipu in Frankton for a 7km paddle into Queenstown bay. From downtown Queenstown the final two race stages are a 9km run to Coronet Alpine Hotel and then a 9km bike ride up to the finish line at Coronet Peak. This event is great for aspiring Multi Sporters to test themselves against the best or a team to participate and have a lot of Fun.
National Youth Series
August 6/7
This event moves back down south after some time up north. It is part of a three race Series for K and J athletes and is run on training Terrain in Rocky Gully. Test yourself against all other kids your age racing Giant Slalom and Slalom. Fastest out of the three races wins but as always on the day, the fastest to the bottom reaps the rewards on the day!!!

Kids Rule the Peak
August 12, 12 noon
Bring the kids up for some free entertainment this Sunday and while you are at it get up close and personal with some Winter Olympic Champions!
For the Kids there'll be free face painting, a treasure hunt, live entertainment and loads of giveaways on the deck.
Members of the US, Canadian, Japanese and New Zealand teams will also be on the deck ready to sign posters and your snow memorabilia. These guys and girls are Olympic and World Cup champions and have all been training as part of their world cup preparation at Coronet Peak. You'll get to see the likes of Bode Miller (USA), Ted Ligety (USA), Marco Sullivan (USA), Andrew Weibrecht (USA), Resi Steigler (USA), Julia Mancuso (USA), Hailey Duke (USA), Mike Janyk (CAN) and local boys Ben Griffin and Tim Café.
Please note there are limited posters available for signing so bring your favourite snow gear to get an autograph.

What an event to have in our own backyard! An elite winter sports competition that brings together the world's best athletes to a location with world class winter facilities set in this stunning and accessible region. Coronet Peak hosts the Able Bodied Men and Women's Giant Slalom and Slalom as well as the Adaptive men and Women's Giant Slalom and Slalom. In its second year this is sure to be a World Class Ski racing Event with our New Zealand athletes competing alongside all the World Cup and Olympic athletes from all over the Globe. Japan Southern Cup FIS Races
August 17 - 20
The Air New Zealand Japanese FIS Southern Cup race is one of New Zealand's largest and most competitive annual ski races, attracting some of the strongest ski racing fields of the Southern Hemisphere season. This race brings a lot of History with it, being run a Coronet Peak for a number of years and has been a great spectacle for those. Some of the best have raced while training here at Coronet Peak including Bode Miller, Ted Ligety, Eric Schlopy, Linsey Vonn and Julia Mancuso from the USA. Others that have competed are Downhill World Champion Eric Guay from Canada and Overall World Champ for 2011 Maria Reisch from Germany. It is a great race mid season for our New Zealand athletes to test themselves against the best and gain strong momentum this year heading into the Winter Games.

Coronet Peak Plays Cupid - Singles Night Skiing
Friday August 19
Ditch the bars for the night and start trawling the slopes for your mate instead. Coronet Peak is having its inaugural speed dating night on Friday, August 19. Registration is free and you'll get a glass of Arcadia Bubbles to give you a bit of old fashioned Dutch courage. Then head to the lift line, we'll match you into pairs, do the introductions and get you onto the Cupid Express. The rest is up to you!
Register in the base building 5-5.30pm
Cupid Express starts up from 6pm
Normal night skiing rates and hours apply.
NZ Nationals
September 2/3
The NZ national Championships continue to run at Coronet Peak again this year on our challenging Giant Slalom Course 'The Hurdle', and Slalom on the infamous 'Race Arena'. This race brings prestige, talent and not to mention big fields to Coronet Peak to compete for the New Zealand title. With international teams continuing to train there is the added interest from overseas too pushing our aspiring Local athletes to the maximum. This is sure to get the blood flowing as it will be neck and neck right to the finish line for the our Boys and Girls. Quest Banked Slalom

It's all about the glory and getting your name on the trophy in this fun and exciting event.It's a simple format, two runs through the banked course, best time counts. This is a great day out for all the gun snowboarders in town dressing up, showing their tricks and getting one up on their mates. A Challenging banked Slalom course crafted by World Class Groomer Drivers out of the Natural Terrain on Green gates side of Coronet Peak makes this event great viewing in the Spring Sunshine. Register Quick at the QUEST shop in town or miss out!!!
